WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ON THE TOUR? IS FOOD PROVIDED?

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. A small backpack for your personal items and sunscreen is recommended. 

 

Snacks and bottled water are provided on all our Sydney Day Tours.

 

Lunch and Dinner are provided on the Wild Wombats and Kangaroos full-day trip.


Make sure to bring warm clothing on the Wombats and Kangaroos tour, as the temperatures in this area can be very cool in the evening.​

WHERE IS THE PICKUP POINT FOR MY WILD KANGAROO AND WOMBAT TOUR?

There are three pick-up locations: 

  • Circular Quay/Bridge St — The pick-up location is in front of the "Thomas Sutcliffe Mort" statue, located on Bridge Street between Pitt Street and Loftus Street.

  • Hyde Park — Meet Across the road from the Sheraton hotel, near St James Station Bus Stand with a letter A on-top of the bus shelter. We pick up in the loading zone just past the bus stop shelter, or directly across the road from 181 Elizabeth St, Sydney, NSW 2000.

  • Sydney Central Railway Station — The pick-up and drop-off area is in front of the taxi zone, located on the upper level. Address for Google Maps: 22 Railway Colonnade Drive, Haymarket.

Important: To find this area, head to Platform 1 on the Grand Concourse and take the nearest exit labelled "Railway Square." Do NOT go to Railway Square — it’s a different location. Once outside, we’ll be waiting in front of the taxi zone.

Pick-up Information Wild Kangaroo and Wombat Tour

Extra instructions for those meeting at Sydney Central Station: the main meeting point is the Taxi Zone on the upper level outside. This is near the closest exit to platform 1 (Exit labeled Railway Square).

 

If walking to the station the pick-up point is at the base of the clock tower on the upper level.

HOW LONG DO YOUR SYDNEY DAY TOURS USUALLY RUN?

Our tours vary in length depending on the experience. The Wild Wombat and Kangaroo tour is a full Sydney one-day tour lasting around 11 hours, with morning pickup and an evening return.

 

The Wild Bat Photo Experience is a shorter half-day option of about 2.5 hours, perfect for travellers who want a quick but unforgettable adventure without committing to a full day.

CAN I JOIN MORE THAN ONE SYDNEY DAY TRIP TOUR?

Absolutely. Many visitors book both of our Sydney day trip tours to make the most of their time.

 

Each tour offers a distinct experience: One focuses on kangaroos and wombats in the Southern Highlands, while the other showcases flying foxes closer to the city. 

 

Together, they provide a complete wildlife experience in just a couple of days.

DO YOU OFFER SYDNEY PRIVATE DAY TOURS?

Yes. If you’re looking for a more exclusive adventure, we can arrange Sydney private day tours. These are ideal for couples, families or small groups who prefer a customised schedule.

 

You’ll still enjoy all the highlights of our standard tours, but with added flexibility. 

 

Whether you’d like more time for photography, a special pick-up or a focus on certain locations, a private tour ensures the day is tailored to your interests.

DOES A TOUR GET CANCELLED SOMETIMES?

The tour will go ahead in case of rain, though note that the itinerary will likely change.

 

If the weather conditions are dangerous, or if there is a force majeure, such as a park closure due to bush fire or pandemic, we may have to cancel the Sydney day trip tour at last notice.

 

If you have booked directly through the Perfect Day Sydney website, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund through our secure payment system.

 

If you have booked through another booking platform, their cancellation policy will apply.

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Any activity in the outdoors comes with risk of injury (these may include, but are not limited to, heights, exposure to weather, rapid flowing water, fauna and flora). Being careful is important for your safety and the safety of others.


Perfect Day Sydney is not liable for theft and/or damage to personal items, nor for any personal injuries you may incur.

CAN I CHANGE MY BOOKING DATE?

Up to a 48-hour notice of change of date, we can happily move you to another day.

 

If you wish to cancel within 24 hours of start date of your tour, we do not provide a refund. Within 48h of cancellation, we provide 50% refund.

 

​If you have booked through another booking platform, their cancellation policy will apply.

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH

​All our Sydney day tour packages are ideal for small groups, with a maximum of 21 travellers.

 

We ensure our ventilation and air conditioning is working well in the vehicle. 

 

We welcome anyone to bring their own face mask if they desire.
